About

About Sacramento

Sacramento is one of Northern California’s true ‘golden’ treasures. You’ll find a city that blends its historic landmark district; hip, modern urban core; the stateliness of the Capitol; and tops it off with the natural beauty of a riverfront to bring you the best of everything for the perfect vacation or quick and easy getaway.

The communities surrounding the Capitol offer a wide variety of attractions, activities and sights. You can establish basecamp in Sacramento and then enjoy day trips to the to the rich agricultural cities in Yolo County, 20 minutes to the west; the Gold Rush towns of Coloma, Placerville or Murphys  going east towards the foothills for 45 minutes to 1 hour; or the Central Valley city of Lodi heading 45 minutes south.
